 Publishing house I will either go with Bauer Media Group who are Publishers of kerrang which means that they will have experience in the indie/ rock genre and know exactly what the target audience preferes and how to attract them. Or I could go with Dennis Publishing which is one of the world’s leading independent publishers and are not publishers of any music magazines which means that i can compete against rival magazines such as Kerrang or NME. |
The potential target audience will be younger adults aged 16+ who usually buy magazines once a week and want to find out about the latest bands/ news and concerts. The Genre of my magazine is indie/ punk rock. This is an interest of mine which is an advantage as I already know what specific features to include and how to style the magazine to attract my target audience. USP The unique selling point of the magazine will be Exclusive Posters and articles about particular bands which will attract fans of the specific bands and encourage people to buy it as it will be the only magazine with them posters and articles available. This will attract my target audience as i know that many people who enjoy rock like to collect posters of their favorite bands and decorate their rooms with them. |
