Preliminary Exercise |

The point of the preliminary exercise is to produce a front cover and contents page in which can later be compared to our final outcome. This can show how we have improved and what skills we have developed. |
Evalution- I tried to follow my mock ups as close as possible. I chose blue and white for my colour scheme as it links with the goffs uniform, and red for the price pug as it stands out and is easy to see. To improve I need to add a bar code, issue number and date to my front cover. Also, I could add more pictures and text to make it more interesting. The boxes around my text could be a different colour and framed to look more interesting, also i would like to change my background and crop the picture neater to make the magazine look proffesional. My contents page needs more colour and pictures, I could also add a picture of the head teacher and maybe add some patterens and pugs, however I like the layout of my contents page. Next time I should edit my logo as it looks very basic and simple, I could add some colour and make it bold to stand out. I think that I could produce a proffesional front cover and contents page once I have learnt how to use photoshop. |
